Calling cat lovers of all ages! Join us for feline festivities as cats invade The Whaling Museum for the day!
Schedule of Events:
11:30am: Event Opens! Please leave strollers outside.
Nibble-Sized Presentations Every Half Hour:
- Discover the hiss-tory of Ship Cats in our "Cats at Sea" presentation
- Play a round of Cat Trivia!
- Meet with a Cat Behaviorist
12-3pm: Cat Room open!
- Step into the Cat Room as space permits and meet awesome cats looking for their forever homes; VIPs (Very Important Purr-sons) have preferential access to the room from 12-1pm.
Ongoing All Day:
- Create a catnip toy - take it home to your kitty, or donate it to our shelter cats!
- Enjoy Feline Face painting
- Go on a Kitty Scavenger Hunt in the gallery featuring "Cats of Long Island" (submit your cat's photo ahead of time, and you might see your kitty's mug in the museum!)
4pm: Event Closes
Tickets:
VIP (Very Important Purr-son) enjoys preferential access to the Cat Room 12-1pm: perfect for those who enjoy close kitty time, or who are looking to adopt. $15 Participant | $10 Member
General Admission:
$10 Participant, Max $40 for family of six
