Dry Surf is the name of the first skateboard park in the United States, which opened in Tempe, Arizona in June of 1965. From that point forward, Tempe and the Salt River Valley have played an outsized role in the development of skateboarding as a sport, lifestyle, and art form. Created in partnership with the local skateboarding community, this exhibit showcases their contributions over a period of 60 years.
