What is neuroaesthetics? It is the scientific study of the neural consequences of contemplating a creative work of art.
During this talk, Reddy will discuss how neuroaesthetic principles evoke connection, wonder, and empowerment – highlighting these concepts as they relate to the exhibition on view Bobby Anspach: Everything is Change. Through his work, particularly his “Place for Continuous Eye Contact” machines, Bobby sought to build opportunities for grounding connection, joy and love to blossom. In this way, we look forward to learning about the power of place with Suchi Reddy!
Suchi Reddy is an architect, designer, and leading figure in the field of neuroaesthetics, exploring the profound impact of design on human perception and well-being. As the founder of Reddymade, a New York-based practice established in 2002, neuroaesthetics underpins Reddy’s approach to every Reddymade project, providing a framework for understanding how design affects the brain and body.
